Chelsea sale to Todd Boehly expected to be completed this week

Sports News
Mysport99 - Todd Boehly's purchase of Chelsea is expected to go through this week with the United Kingdom government now more confident Roman Abramovich’s £1.6bn loan to the club will not go to the oligarch. There have been concerns raised by Whitehall insiders that the club could go out of business if the deadline for the deal was not met. However, The Guardian now report there is 'growing confidence' legally binding agreements will be agreed with Abramovich to ensure the money is placed in a frozen account under government control. The Telegraph add that the UK government has given Abramovich the 'green light' for the sale which needs to be completed by 31 May. However, the duo must now wait for approval from Portugal and Europe. A two-stage process has been set out by t...

AC Milan win first Serie A title since 2011

Sports News
Mysport99 - AC Milan have won their first Serie A title since 2011, beating Sassuolo on the final day of the season to lift the Scudetto. I Rossoneri went into their final game of the season knowing that a win, or matching inner city rivals Inter's result, would be enough to secure the title, and they did just that. They raced into a one goal lead in the 17th minute thanks to their star man Rafael Leao and continued to dominate thereafter, scoring a further two in front of a Mapei Stadium jam-packed with Milan fans. Milan have been the most consistently impressive team in Italy in recent months, going 16 games unbeaten at the end of the campaign to fend off competition from Inter. The highlights of this remarkable run of form including a vital derby win over Inter in Febru...

Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are his three most likely destinations, although sources have indicated that he has not made a decision on his future yet. Erik ten Hag to start work at Man Utd on Monday

Sports News
Mysport99 - Erik ten Hag will miss Ajax's end-of-season trip to Curacao to travel to the UK ready to start work at Manchester United. Erik Ten Hag is officially taking over from interim United boss Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season, having led the Dutch giants to the Eredivisie title this term. Ajax's last game of the campaign was a 2-2 draw with Vitesse on Sunday, and they will now embark on a brief visit to the Caribbean as part of their partnership with the Curacao tourist board. They will take on the Curacao national side during the trip, but according to De Telegraaf Ten Hag will not be in the dugout. "There will be a party with the [Ajax] staff, but I am not going to Curacao," the soon-to-be United boss told Mike Verweij. "I think that's understandable. There is...

Antonio Rudiger signs Real Madrid contract ahead of summer move

Sports News
Mysport99 - Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger has signed his pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid ahead of completing a free transfer to the Spanish capital this summer, Mysport99 can confirm. Sources close to the German international defender have confirmed that the 29-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the La Liga champions. Confirmation of the transfer is not expected to arrive until after the end of the season, with Real's focus on the Champions League final and Chelsea keen to keep the attention on their push for a spot in the Premier League's top four. Rudiger's contract with Chelsea will expire at the end of June and the club have long been resigned to losing one of their key defenders for nothing this summer. Talks broke down late last year an...

Erling Haaland released from Dortmund to ‘take care of personal matters’

Sports News
Mysport99 - Borussia Dortmund have confirmed Erling Haaland has been granted permission to 'take care of personal matters', following the revelation that he has agreed a move to Manchester City. The Norway international has agreed personal terms with City, who have fought off competition from Real Madrid and pretty much every top side in Europe to secure the signature of the 21-year-old striker. Shortly after news of the move emerged, Dortmund confirmed to Sport1 that they had given Haaland permission to leave the training complex to address something. "The players have no training today and we allowed Erling to take care of personal matters," a club statement read. Haaland has not yet signed his City contract but the terms of an agreement have already been reached, with t...

Pep Guardiola claims ‘everyone’ supports Liverpool

Sports News
Mysport99 - Pep Guardiola has claimed that 'everyone supports Liverpool', after his Man City side opened a three-point gap over the Reds at the top of the Premier League with a 5-0 victory over Newcastle on Sunday. City were irresistible against the Magpies, with Raheem Sterling bagging a brace in the rout and Aymeric Laporte, Phil Foden and Rodri also netting. The result gives City some breathing room at the summit after Liverpool slipped to a 1-1 draw against Tottenham on Saturday evening. Speaking after the game, Guardiola claimed that the country would be rooting against his side in the title race, while also aiming a dig at the Reds' recent poor return of Premier League trophies. "Everyone in this country supports Liverpool, the media and everyone, of course because ...

Erik ten Hag denies ban on signing Ajax players

Sports News
Mysport99 - Erik ten Hag has revealed there is no agreement with Ajax to stop him raiding his soon-to-be former employer when he takes over at Manchester United in the summer. It was revealed in April that the Dutchman will become United's next manager having emerged as the club's preferred option ahead of Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino. Perhaps inevitably, the Red Devils have been linked with a whole host of Ajax players in the fortnight since, as well as other names from around the Eredivisie whom Ten Hag would be familiar with. Those Ajax stars who have been linked with Man Utd include defender Jurrien Timber and striker Sebastien Haller, as well as winger Antony - who is attracting interest from a number of leading Premier League sides, Mysport99 understands...

Todd Boehly to sign first contract in Chelsea’s takeover

Sports News
Mysport99 - Todd Boehly is expected to begin the process of signing the contracts needed to assume control of Chelsea on Saturday. There had been concerns that the takeover could be wildly delayed by Roman Abramovich demanding the £1.6bn he has loaned to the club be returned, but the current Blues owner has since spoken out to rubbish those concerns. Abramovich continues to maintain that he does not want a single penny from the £2.5bn that Boehly will initially part with, but the feeling is that his current sanctions mean he is not legally allowed to write off the loan as he initially planned, with the European Union further limiting his financial dealings as well as the UK. To combat that, the UK government will temporarily freeze that £1.6bn while they address the issues, a...
